Nothing like a little late night end of summer magic like an evening tournament at Cowan Lake. While certainly not the best tournament of the season. There was still plenty of fun in the setting sun. With plenty of laughs and ramp banter as the club launched from the ramp with their trolling motors on full blast. The wake created from the velocity almost gave the evening wind a run for it’s money. With the sun tucked away and the mosquitoes thirst satisfied. The club headed to the scales for weigh-in. The team of Jeff Durbin and Dan Gotforth with a 5 fish limit grabbed the lead quickly with 12.67 lbs and had the BIG BASS of the night at 3.13lbs. Then the Jim Rebholz and Colten Porter came to the scales with another 5 fish limit and dethroned Jeff and Dan’s BIG BASS with 3.34 lbs, but unfortunately. The rest of the bag just wasn’t enough, but still grabbed a respectable 2nd place with 11.56 lbs. Giving the win to Jeff Durbin and Dan Goforth. Locking in Jeff Durbin as the 2026 Angler of the Year and a perfect season with 4 first place victories.
