A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Ladies and Gentlemen,
2020 was a very challenging year and I want to say how proud I am of the participation and how you handled yourselves during the pandemic. We aren't done yet with the Covid pandemic but I'd like to think we are heading out of the danger zone by the time the first tournament comes around. The schedule is posted and the 2 day tournament is on Lake St. Clair this year, a haven for Smallmouth and most every kind of fish you can think of. Believe me, you won't want to miss out on this opportunity!
In 2020 we had 30 different folks show up and fish in at least one tournament. Since the end of the season we have received numerous new membership requests and we are excited about the club growth and what 2021 turnouts may look like.
I'd like to thank the members of the Cincinnati Bassmasters Board, Ben Stacy, Mark Dilts, Keith Finitzer and John Burgess. These folks have worked very hard during the season and before the season starts to make sure our tournaments are successful. Our annual awards meeting is scheduled for Sunday 2/21 but depending on Covid, we may have to change location etc. If you are reading this and looking to join and fish with us, please fill out an Application and someone will get back with you shortly.
As a reminder, we are a Bass Nation affiliated club. For those that are not familiar, Bass Nation is a way for the everyday angler to work his/her way up to fish in the Bassmaster Classic by fishing a series of sanctioned events! We have posted the Ohio Bass Nation (OBN) events along with our club schedule. I fish the OBN Team Trail events and will most likely be fishing the OBN Individual tournaments this year. If you are planning to fish with us this year and you also want to fish with OBN, I encourage you to go ahead and pay your dues on the Member Registration page. If you have any questions about the Bass Nation, please feel free to give me a call.
Your Friend and President, Johnny Holton
